May 11th, 2024 from 10 am to 5 pm Sacred Fire Farms will have a booth at the Forshana Farms Flower Festival, located at 16270 W. State Highway 8 Potosi MO. We will have a selection of remedies and also herbal plant starts for attendees to start their own remedy gardens.
May 13, 2024 from 10 am to 4 pm: Day 1 of The Elementary Herbalist meets in the Jenkerson Barn at Sacred Fire Farms. This 5 week course will meet every Monday for 6 hours to reclaim the herbal skills of our grandparents and great grandparents. Participants will get hands-on remedy making and foraging skills. Note: This first class - Day 1 - is a pre-requisite to further classes. Focus: Common Cardiac and Respiratory ailments along with herbs that can be applied for these conditions. Prerequisite of Day 1 class, pre registration and fee of $125 required. Friday May 31, 2024 from 1 to 3:30 "Nettles Harvest" at Sacred Fire Farms. Many have asked us where to harvest / how to harvest Stinging Nettle. Well this is your chance to find out and even take home a bunch home.. You will learn techniques for gathering, drying and processing and take home half of what you collect. Do as much or little as you desire. We have a football field. Fee is $15
Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 9 am to 4 pm: Sacred Fire Farms will have a booth space at the Bourbon BBQ Festival in downtown Bourbon, MO. We will have herb starts and remedies available, and will be there to answer any questions regarding herbs and the many medicinal uses.
Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 1pm: Meramec Valley Herbal Guild meets in the Jenkerson Barn, 12804 State Hwy W, Bourbon, MO. Our speakers are going to be Midge Kelly and Nancy Herold speaking on holistic pet health and specifically holistic options for flea and tick prevention
Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 1pm at Sacred Fire Farms, 12804 State Hwy W., Bourbon, MO. The farm includes two springs and creek access that provide some pretty interesting micro climates. As we explore the property, we will be discussing best practices for wildcrafting in such lush forestry. $29 per person.
