Day 1 Elementary Herbalist

“Day 1” is the pre-requisite to continuing the remaining of the 4 courses.. Many people find they can “jump start” their self study with this. For the first time this year we are offering this class individually for convenience of the participants. In “Day 1” students will receive information on optimizing the immune system
- Gain a functional knowledge of a number of helpful botanicals as we walk the fields and visit the remedy gardens
- Learn how to make fresh plant and dried plant extracts (old time herbalists refer to them as tinctures), and 3 kinds of water extracts
- Understand considerations in using herbs with medicines
- Receive sources for determining dosing
- best practices for using herbs with prescriptions
A farm to table lunch is included or participants who have dietary issues may bring their own.
